With Christmas just around the corner and a little bit of healthy competition forming when it comes to decorating the house, we have the perfect addition to this years decorations to take you to the next level. This year our favourite Christmas Decoration is the Paper Lantern Snowman. In this guide we will show you how to make this festive creation as well as provide you will all the templates you will need! 

You Will Need 

First things first you will need two white paper lanterns a larger one for the body and a smaller one for the head! we recommend our 8 inch (£1.20) and 12 inch (£1.38) brilliant white paper hanging lanterns. BUY WHITE PAPER HANGING LANTERNS HERE.  

You will need to download our Hat Template! - (See Below) 

A sheet of orange card or paper 

A sheet of black card or paper

Colouring Pens 

Scissors 

Sticky tape or glue 

Step by Step Guide

Firstly, print and cut out our Snowman hat template and colour it in. 

Next take the sheet of orange paper or card and make two marks either side of a corner. (closer or further away from the corner depending on the size of the nose you want)  Then cut between the two marks in an arching motion, once you have your triangle with a rounded side roll this up into a cone to form the nose! 

Then take your sheet of black paper or card and cut 2 circles for the eyes and 2 or 3 slightly larger circles for the coal buttons! 

You are now all set to assemble your Lantern Snowman - construct your two lanterns and set the larger lantern aside! Using sticky tape or glue attach the eyes, hat and nose to the smaller lantern! Now stick the larger black coal buttons to the larger lantern. lastly using the two C hooks inside the lanterns attach the body and the head of the Snowman, use a thin stick or rod if extra support is required!  

You are now ready to hang your lantern Snowman with the rest of your Christmas decorations, for this we recommend using our Clear Lantern Hanging Line (£3.30). Why not add a few warm white LED lights for a magical finishing touch.
